A huge well done to our girls and boys, who won their group E category at the Ross-shire Schools Primary XC.   It was fab to win the boys again and it is many years since the girls have got their hands on the shield!! We are all so proud of all our runners!

Thanks so much to all our helpers and staff too. We could not do it without the support of the school, parents, grandparents, etc who all assist over the year, but a very special thanks must go to Jo Ellen, for her enthusiasm, encouragement, and unwavering support.

Lights, Camel, Action!

An amazing Show was performed last week by all the pupils, which raised a grand total of £564, including raffles.

A huge thank you to all the staff and pupils for the hard work & effort put in to make this yet another amazing Christmas extravaganza.

A special thank you goes to Heather MacKinnon, for making up the beautiful hampers again.

Strings Trip!

Photos of the Big Primary String Day that was held in Gordonstoun on Friday 29th September, with pupils from Gordonstoun Junior School and from Albyn School in Aberdeen.  Sophie & Callum represented Marybank as part of Dingwall Strings Club.

School Sports Day

We finally held our Sports Day yesterday, and the rain kept away!!!  A fantastic time was had by all, with a great turnout of parents, grandparents, relatives & friends from both Marybank and Strathgarve Primary Schools.   The children gave their all in the individual races, and worked well together for the team races.  The highlight was the very competitive Parent Races!!!

The overall cup winner this year was Moy (pictured below).  They were presented with the Cup by Nana Wright, who has attended regularly over the years.  Her youngest granddaughter, Amy (pic left) will be the final family member to leave us and go on to Secondary School after the summer.  We hope Nana (and wee Megan) will not be strangers though ….

County Sports

Well done to our fantastic athletes from P3 – P5 who made up the Marybank Primary County Sports Team yesterday.  There were some amazing performances and we came away with 7 medals!  Particular congratulations to the P3s who were competing against much older pupils and did themselves proud.   The afternoon finished with our relay team of Struan, Callum, Flora and Graham winning their race by a huge distance!

Well done also to the pupil, parent and staff supporters who made all the difference with their loud cheering!
